Beyond its aesthetic appeal, BSU offers an inviting academic environment with small class sizes, which we particularly appreciated.

During our tour, we met several other families visiting from out of state, providing my daughter with a fantastic opportunity to envision what college life in Idaho would truly be like. Just outside the campus, we discovered a picturesque bridge offering stunning views of the river below. Our tour guide mentioned that college students often raft down this river in the summertime – a truly appealing prospect!

However, if you’re traveling from a distance, like we were, you’ll need accommodations that offer more than just a bed. With three children, we prioritize finding a place where we can prepare at least one meal a day. This not only helps save money but also allows us to unwind in the evenings with a warm, home-cooked meal.

My husband and I seek similar features even when traveling for work, as it simply feels more like home when you’re away. For our initial Boise trip, we decided to try staying in an Airbnb, having heard rave reviews. I can wholeheartedly confirm, it was an excellent choice!

• A significant advantage of renting a vacation home is the often available sign-up perks, such as getting $40 off your first booking.
• For families with more than four people, hotel rooms can quickly become cramped. In contrast, the condo we found through Airbnb was more affordable than a standard hotel room, provided a full kitchen for our use, featured multiple bedrooms, and included convenient amenities like a washer and dryer. This extra space and comfort made a huge difference to our family’s stay.
