Our stroll through the Star Wars Miniland section was nothing short of captivating. Every iconic character, from the wise Yoda to the formidable Darth Vader, was meticulously rendered in true LEGO form, perfect for unforgettable photo opportunities. We found ourselves wondering how much larger and more complex it could possibly be, given the already incredible standard set by the existing Miniland exhibits. The wait was almost unbearable, but the surrounding wonders kept us thoroughly entertained.

The Moment of Revelation: Unveiling LEGOLAND’s Epic Death Star

Just before the grand unveiling of the Death Star model display, we discovered a fantastic interactive area where young builders could unleash their inner Jedi or Sith. Kids were invited to construct their very own Star Wars™ spaceships and vehicles using an enormous supply of LEGO® pieces. Bins upon bins of bricks were available, inspiring endless creativity, and we happily spent a considerable amount of time engaging in this hands-on fun.

Below this interactive building station, a miniature LEGO city was beautifully laid out, visible through clear glass panels from either side. Peeking into this vibrant urban landscape, filled with tiny LEGO citizens and intricate buildings, was another delightful discovery. This playful atmosphere, filled with the joyous sounds of children creating, built the perfect crescendo for what was to come – the moment of the unveiling!

And then, the curtains dropped, revealing a sight that took our breath away! The new LEGO Death Star model is a true marvel of engineering and artistry. Standing an impressive 13 feet high and measuring 8 feet wide, this colossal creation weighs over 1900 pounds and is meticulously constructed from more than 500,000 individual LEGO bricks. It is, without a doubt, the most significant and most spectacular addition to the LEGO® Star Wars™ Miniland to date.
