I have to say I don’t order that drink myself but the mix gives everything a great taste. You can make it spicy or mild depending on your tastebuds, on the stove or in a slow cooker like our 5 ingredient chili, they are both delicious and simple to make.
Have you ever tried making food using the bloody mary mix you have in your cabinet? Well it gives things a kick and adds lots of flavor Chili is such a funny meal. I say that because there are thousands and thousands of ways you can make it. No one is wrong really.
Some like it with lots of juices and others like it super chunky and thick like we have here. I like it both ways really, just depends on my mood but as is this one came out great. You can find a bottle of this at the store and it is without the alcohol, so everyone can enjoy this one no matter their age.

Ingredient Notes
For the meat I generally will use a roll of 80/20 lean Ground beef or spicy ground sausage works to add more heat.
As for added vegetables I like to dice up some Onions, Bell pepper will add texture and flavor too but optional of course and Celery is just expected with the name of this dish (and drink)
Now rather than adding tomato sauce which I typically do to make traditional or Instant Pot chiliI instead used a bottle of Bloody mary mix. It is not spicy, though you can buy that variety if you like, but is basically like V8 Juice (another option).
Pinto beans canned is what I used and since I like a lot I will usually use 15-ounce can of Kidney beans and/or Great Northern Beans as well.
Diced tomatoes adds more chunks vs. just using the juice. Dashes of Worcestershire sauce adds a pop of flavor
Spices such as chili powder, cumin and many others, green onions on top is a nice touch
Variations
You can make this with all kinds of other meats too like we did with our Chuck Roast Chili. Only difference with tougher cuts is that you need to simmer for longer or until the beef is fork tender.
Typically I cook either a pot of Ninja Foodi rice or make baked potatoes to serve it on and top it with cheese. The more the better for us. To me this is a hearty dinner that everyone here loves. It is warm when it is cold outside, and quite inexpensive to make which I love when I have 5 to feed.

How Long to Cook Bloody Mary Chili on Stove
You are going to want to saute the meat until no longer pink first which takes 5 minutes or so. Then to meld all the flavors together it needs to simmer for a good hour or so if you ask me. You could pull off in 30 minutes since everything is cooked but I like beans to soften a bit longer.
How Long to Cook Bloody Mary Chili in Slow Cooker
You can cook this low and slow as well if you’d rather. The only prep beforehand is that you would need to precook the meat until it is no longer pink. Drain (or not, your choice), put into pot with all other ingredients and set to low for 6 hours. If you have another pot, make with Crockpot cornbread.
I got the idea when I was watching the Food Network. The next show that was coming on was The Pioneer Woman. She was going to make her bloody mary chili. This is non alcoholic don’t worry. I tweaked it to include bloody mary mix and use the leftovers to make our cowboy cornbread casserole.
Other Recipes with Bloody Mary Mix
If you have the other brand of machine, you could use these ingredients to make Ninja foodi chili in that too. Want to use this mix to make other things? I have used it instead of diced tomatoes to make our Chili Cornbread Casserole with it too!

Method
- 1

Allow to simmer on low for about an hour. I stir about twice in this time.
- 7
Serve with side of cornbread, over baked potatoes, or rice with a bit of cheese if you want and/or green onions.
