It’s getting warmer so that means it’s time for homemade treats. We always think of strawberries when Summer time gets closer, and just about anything we can make with them is a winner. Here is a recipe to make strawberry granola frozen yogurt pops I am sure you and your kids will love!
You can use any fresh fruit you like really, but we used our favorite berry. Don’t these look delicious! Using fresh or frozen fruit, yogurt and this is How to Make Homemade Granola if you want to add that. This yogurt popsicle recipe is easy to make and great when it’s warm outside. You don’t even need an ice pop mold for this, Dixie cups and popsicle sticks will do!
They’re great any time of year really. A great treat to keep in the freezer that is made with organic ingredients and a healthy snack for kids too. Reminds us of one of ourthick smoothies but solid, smooth and creamy. Here’s the basic idea you can see here below using small cups

How can you make popsicles without a mold?
You just need a few ingredients and some small dixie cups to make these healthy popsicles. There are tons of sizes out there but I like the larger ones for this, you can see the 6 ounce size above but I will link it in the recipe card below as well for you.
Ingredient Notes
As far as the main ingredient goes you could use a dairy free yogurt option if need be, Silk has a great vanilla or maple syrup flavored yogurt. Your BEST option though is full fat greek yogurt because of it’s thick texture. Plain greek yogurt works but I prefer vanilla or strawberry for this one over any other. Simple ingredients for fruit pops are best.
You can vary this recipe according to the type of fruit you like. Strawberry works really well though. You could combine fruits and do half strawberry and half blueberry too for your frozen treat.
To sweeten it you can use sugar, honey, agave nectar or a sugar-free option like Splenda (or leave out for purely one with no sugar).
You can either buy boxed granola or the kind in the large bins they have there. Here is the frozen yogurt pops recipe to keep handy.
What I like is you know exactly what you’re including in this recipe and can swap out or omit some ingredients. you can even add some flax seeds into it and your kids wouldn’t know the difference. You will love these homemade popsicles too!

How do I make sure my popsicles don’t stick to mold?
You can spray the insides very lightly with non stick spray or just run the mold under hot water for a few seconds to loosen the insides just a bit. Grab ahold of the stick and gently twist for it to pop out and enjoy in one solid piece.
What ingredient makes popsicles creamy?
If you are making homemade popsicles with fruit and yogurt you can add a bit of coconut milk to thin it out and keep them smooth and creamy. Use the full fat canned version. You could add a bit of ice cream into the mix too for a soft texture to them.
Tips
If you want to make a large batch of these you could. Just follow the instructions as you see here, remove once solid and transfer them into a freezer bag. To ensure that they don’t stick together, wrap each one in a piece of parchment paper taped at the opening and then store. Then enjoy one at a time out of the bag.
So this is how to make homemade popsicles in any fruit flavor you like for Summertime, it’s a great and nutritious treat!
