Halloween Brownie Trifle

You can also mix this holiday trifle up with the type of pie filling you desire. Use any kind of cake you want too. We just love brownies out of a box or homemade chopped up Brownie Bread because they are chocolate chocolate and oh so delicious.

If you wanted it more of a fall treat you could use spice cake mix which would be yummy, but chocolate and cherries are amazing. You can use small trifle dishes like these or small mason jars are cute too.

Halloween Brownie Trifle

Brownie Trifle

This can be made a number of different ways with a variety of flavors but if you keep the layers cake or brownies that keeps it easy. Of course that isn’t the traditional method but I like to keep things as easy as possible. If you wanted a more old fashioned method, use this Christmas trifle recipe here.

Adding fruit to the layers, candies, sprinkles, I mean the options are seriously endless. During the winter months I like to use pie filling like you see here since we can’t find a lot of fresh produce in town then.
